sparkling *clean*

i have recently been into natural household cleaning supplies. i want to share with you a few of my favorites!

1. J.R. Watkins- they have a very wide range of products from household cleaners to laundry to personal beauty items. i recently bought the all purpose cleaner in Lemon Verbena. It smells great and is great for the environment. i have also tried the laudry detergent which only comes in a limited variety of scents.

2. The Good Home Co.- PURE GRASS. i love The Good Home Co.'s pure grass scent. it is available in many different products including, my favorite, the laudry detergent ($21.50), dryer sheets ($14), a sheet and clothing spray ($20), dish soap ($12), vacuum beads ($15), glass and surface cleaner ($15), and a tub and tile cream cleanser ($12). they also have many other scents to choose from, so check it out.

3. Mrs. Meyers- i had all intention of buying the Geranium scented laundry detergent but after smelling them all i decided to try the Basil scent. i expected it to smell very herb-y but it actually has a bit of a floral smell to it. Mrs. Meyers is prolly the easiest product to find locally. It is carried at World Market, Crate and Barrel, and larger grocery stores. Mrs. Meyers has many different scents and a wind range of cleaning and laundry products. the laundry detergent i bought is for 64 loads and cost $14. i compared it to Tide 64 loads which costs about $15.

Mrs. Meyers also carries a really cute baby line that would be a great baby shower gift!

4. Twist Clean- 100% biodegradable sponges, scrubbers, and scouring pads. I found these at our local organic food grocer, and they can be found at Whole Foods, select Bed Bath and Beyond stores, Crate and Barrel, William-Sonoma, check out they website for other locations! I bought a 3-pk of sponges for $3.99 and you can compare that to the non-green Scotch sponges 3-pk that can be bought for $3.49.

5. method- method is a low cost all natural home care and personal care line. Target is the best known retailer that carries a wide variety of this line. my favorite method products are the "Daily Shower natural no-scrub spray cleaner" in ylang ylang scent ($4.49), the "squirt + mop wood floor cleaner" in almond scent ($6.49), and the "Multi-surface natural all purpose cleaner" in pink grapefruit scent ($3.99).
